Asperger Syndrome Cause

Asperger Syndrome cause? Parents, relatives, friends and Aspies themselves all want to know the answer to that question. Asperger's has only been recognized as a pervasive developmental disorder since 1994. Thus the research is still fairly primitive; researchers are working hard on finding the cause of Asperger's.

As of now, there is no known cause for Asperger Syndrome. Researchers are looking at a few possibilities. The main area of focus is genetics. Researchers feel strongly that genetics play a strong role in Aspergers. Family history can often trace to other relatives who have displayed unusual behavior, often thought of as eccentricity.

Can genetics then be the primary Asperger Syndrome cause? The answer is most likely, yes. That leads to another question. What can be done to prevent it? Researchers have not been able to find the answer yet. Although, they do know that early intervention can help.
